Arthritis

Use following herbs can be beneficial: alfalfa leaves, black cohosh, celery seed, parsley tea, valerian root and yuca extract.

Recommendations:

  • Check for possible allergies
  • Avoid milk; vitamin D causes sore joints
  • Exercise regularly. Take hot bath provide relief. Raw lemon rubs and hot castor oil packs are also extremely beneficial.
  • Drink distilled water only
  • Avoid nightshade vegetable (green peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes) which contains sotanine that some people, particular those with arthritis , are highly sensitive to it.
Asthma

Use echinacea, horsetail, juniper berries, licorice root, Ma Huang, pau d'arco, propolis and slippery elm bark tables have shown good results in many studies.

Recommendations:

  • Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid sugar, caffeine drinks, and high carbohydrate foods.
  • Avoid furry animals
  • Avoid canned food or any processed meats
Bee Sting

Take echinacea as a tea or in capsule form. Drink as much yellow dock tea as you can. Apply poultices made from white oak bark and leaves, comfrey and slippery elm.

Recommendations:For a wasp or bee sting, open or crush a charcoal tablet and place on a cotton ball. Place  the cotton on the affected area and cover with an adhesive bandage. This will reduce the pain and swelling.

Canker Sores

Use burdock, golden seal, pau d'arco tea and red clover. Red raspberry tea is very helpful.

Recommendations:Eat plenty of salad with onion. Include yogurt, cottage cheese and buttermilk in your diet. Do not eat eat fish, or meat for 2 weeks. Avoid coffee, chewing gums, smoking and all deep fried foods that triggers the sores.

Flatulence:

Avoid following foods that cause gas problems in many people:

  • Lactose-containing dairy products, beans
  • Apple, brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower
Gallbladder Problems:

Avoid the following foods helps lower the chance of getting gallstone-

  • Sugar
  • Polyunsataurated fats (all red meats, coconut etc.)
Recommendations:Peppermint oil capsules are used in Europe to cleanse the gallbladder. For gallstones, use 3 tablespoons of olive oil with the juice of a lemon before going to bed. Many stones pass in the stool with this technique. 

Headache:

Here's is a list of foods that contain one or more potential headache triggers:

  • Alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea and other sources of caffeine
  • Artificial sweetener - NutraSweet, Equal, Accent (MSG)
  • Beans (such as kidney beans, lime beans)
  • Cheese
  • Chocolate
  • Processed meats (cold cuts, hot dogs, smoked fish, salami, bacon)
  • Pork
Recommendations:Eat well-balanced diet.  Take charcoal tablets (from a health food store) if you suspect a sensitivity to the food you're about to eat.

Hemorrhoids:

Commonsense ways to prevent future troubles- 

  • Exercise regularly
  • Take stretch breaks during periods of prolonged sitting
  • Don't linger on toilet; a 5-minute maximum is recommended
  • Steer clear of laxatives
  • Drink plenty of liquids
  • Linseed oil helps to soften stools. Use one or two tbsp daily. 
  • Take a sitz (mineral) bath daily.
  • A peeled clove of garlic or a raw potato made into a suppository is beneficial for hemorrhoids.
Hernia:

Helps for preventing problems-

  • Avoid Acidic foods, alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea 
  • Avoid fatty food, peppermint, spearmint
  • Wear loose clothes
  • Don't bend or lie down after eating.
  • Avoid lifting heavy object
Insomnia

Avoid caffeine containing foods. Drink a class of warm milk before going to bed helps many people (Calcium & Tryptophan supplementation have been proved beneficial against insomnia.)

Urinary Problems:

Cranberry juice is unique and good for helping the cure of of urinary problems because it contains hippuric acid, which inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Warts:

An old Indian method is to go out and pick a dandelion two or three times a day and put the milk from the cut end on the wart.  It is said to get rid of the warts in no time.

Another method is to put warm castor oil on gauze and apply it three times a day for half an hour for a period of 1 to 2 months. Cod-liver oil, rubbed often on a wart, is yet another remedy reported.

Yeast Infection:

Take Lactobacillus acidophilus culture mixed with yogurt and apply it into the vagina in exactly the same way as antiyeast medications, using an applicator.
