1963年，Beauty Without Cruelty由BWC Charitable Trust（動物保護組織）的管理者Katherine Long在英國創立而成，它的目標就是製造出不用經過動物測試的，不含油及任何動物成分的天然的彩妝，並且將其推廣到世界各地。

Katherine Long，是一位為動物福利事業奉獻一生的行動主義分子，是位化妝師也是素食主義者。她率先推動這個計畫並和Noel Gabriel一起創造出了完全不用動物測試的彩妝。在1969年Katherine去世後，Beauty Without Cruelty幾乎到了關門大吉的時刻，這時Lady Dowding，一位同樣為堅定動物福利的人，決定讓公司繼續下去並且它的目標也要繼續下去。Lady Dowding是一個熱心腸的人，曾經是慈善事業的領導者，是他使BWC繼續發展下去並且影響其他人。

1978年，經過不懈的努力之後，Lady Dowding聘請Joseph Piccioni作為BWC的管理者。Joseph有著豐富的從商經歷，同時也是動物權利的宣導者，他傾盡所有的才華使得BWC成為大不列顛最受歡迎的化妝品品牌之一。

BWC Nourishing Eye Gel is a light, oil-free, moisturizing gel that nurtures and protects the delicate eye contour from dehydration and signs of aging. Time-release formula combines powerful anti-oxidants, replenishing mois-turizers, and organic botanicals to help neutralize sun and environmental damage for soft, smooth, youthful skin. Use regularly for best results.

Ingredients

Organic lavender hydrosol, botanical infusion (green tea, grapeseed, ginkgo biloba), vegetable glycerin, lecithin liposomes (time-release anti-oxidants: vitamins E & A, extracts of green tea, grapeseed, and gingko biloba), so-dium hyaluronate (powerful moisturizer), oat protein, lecithin liposomes (time-release moisturizers: panthenol, sodium pca), oat beta glucan, organic cucumber extract, soy protein, xanthan gum, anti-oxidant complex: vitamin E (natural d-alpha tocopherol) and vitamin A (retinyl palmitate), beta carotene, phenoxyethanol, benzyl alcohol, potassium sorbate, azulene, citric acid (from citrus fruit).
